BAKED  MAC & CHEESE

WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS RECIPE

- It's a classic comfort dish! It's perfect as an entree or as a side dish.  - It's versatile! You can add lobster or your favorite veggies to change it up/make it more well rounded. 

Ingredients

You'll need: macaroni, butter, spices, cheddar, gruyere, flour, milk, half & half, and mustard. 

Step 1

Grate all of your cheeses and mix them together. Set aside 1 1/2 cups for the sauce and 1 1/2 cups for layering. 

Step 2

Cook pasta 1 minute less than al dente. Drain then toss with a bit of olive oil or butter so they don't stick together. 

Step 3

Melt 1⁄2 stick of butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Slowly add the flour and whisk to combine. Cook for 1 minute, whisking frequently.

Step 4

Slowly add the milk/half and half mixture in while whisking constantly, until smooth. Then pour in the raining mil 

Step 5

Add spices and the cheese.  Mix to combine until the cheese has completely melted and the sauce is smooth.

Step 6

Grab a large mixing bowl and dump the drained pasta into it. Then pour the cheese sauce on top and mix to combine fully.

Step 7

Pour half of the macaroni and cheese into the prepared dish, then top with half of the reserved cheese, sprinkling on top evenly.

Step 8

Add the remaining macaroni and cheese to the dish and sprinkle the last bit of cheese on top in an even layer.

Step 9

Bake the macaroni and cheese at 350°F for about 30 minutes. Let the macaroni and cheese set for about 5-10 minutes before serving.
