Notes

Expert Tips from My Kitchen
  • Use room temperature cheese—it’s easier to spoon into the dates.
  • Don’t overstuff; a generous amount is perfect, but too much cheese will leak out as they bake.
  • Bake on parchment paper for easy cleanup and no sticking.
  • For the best flavor, serve these stuffed dates slightly warm, not piping hot.
  • Make a small slit with a paring knife rather than splitting the dates completely—they’ll hold their shape better.

Serving Suggestions
  • Wine pairing – A dry sparkling wine or Champagne is the perfect match for the sweetness of the dates and saltiness of the prosciutto.
  • Add a drizzle of balsamic glaze or honey right before serving for an extra layer of flavor.
  • Serve on charcuterie boards with marinated olives and cheeses for a complete spread.
  • Plate them alongside brussels sprouts or roasted vegetables for a savory appetizer with more contrast.

Storage Instructions
  • Cool completely, then store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat on a sheet pan in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 8–10 minutes to crisp the prosciutto again.
  • These can be stuffed and wrapped a day ahead—just keep them chilled until ready to bake.
