Easy Grapefruit Spritz Recipe (Without Aperol)
Is there anything more refreshing than a bubbly citrus spritz in the summertime? My Grapfruit Spritz recipe is an easy cocktail perfect for any occasion! With pink grapefruit juice, prosecco, and grapefruit soda, this 3-ingredient drink is truly the most delicious cocktail!

What I love about this grapefruit spritz, is that it’s incredibly light. If you’re a fan of grapefruit and aperol, you should try its sister recipe, my Grapefruit Aperol Spritz – a classic Aperol Spritz with the addition of grapefruit juice and grapefruit soda! I also highly suggest my Aperol Margarita – the most popular drink on my site! Grab a large wine glass, some prosecco, and get spritzin’!
Ingredients

- Grapefruit soda – Opt for a high-quality grapefruit soda with real fruit juice for the best flavor. Look for options that use natural ingredients. Bubbly grapefruit soda adds effervescence and a tangy sweetness to the cocktail.
- Grapefruit juice – Provides tartness and citrusy freshness, serving as the cocktail’s base. Freshly squeezed grapefruit juice offers a vibrant burst of citrus flavor with a perfect balance of acidity and sweetness. It adds a refreshing zing to the cocktail and complements the other ingredients beautifully. Strain the juice to remove any pulp for a smoother texture.
- Prosecco – Prosecco is an Italian sparkling wine known for its light and fruity flavor profile. It has delicate bubbles and a crisp, refreshing taste, making it an ideal choice for spritz cocktails. Choose a dry or extra dry Prosecco to prevent the cocktail from becoming overly sweet.
Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: Fill a glass with ice cubes to chill.

Step 2: Pour 2 ounces of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice over the ice.

Step 3: Add 3 ounces of Prosecco to the glass.

Step 4: Top off the drink with 1 ounce of grapefruit soda for extra dizziness. Gently stir the cocktail to combine the ingredients. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig or a slice of grapefruit on the rim of the glass.
Tips and Notes
- Quality ingredients – Use freshly squeezed grapefruit juice for the best flavor. Opt for a high-quality Prosecco and grapefruit soda to ensure a delicious and refreshing cocktail.
- Chill your ingredients – For an extra-refreshing drink, chill your grapefruit juice, Prosecco, and soda before assembling the cocktail. This helps keep the drink cold and maintains its crispness.
